"We are motivated by our client’s success"
G.L.O.M. TAY (Transitional Age Youth) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young adults aged 12-26, particularly those facing severe emotional disturbances, mental health challenges, or those transitioning from the foster care system. Led by Senior Director Lisa Evans, G.L.O.M. serves the Stockton area in partnership with San Joaquin County to provide vital services and resources for youth in need. G.L.O.M. TAY’s mission is to empower these individuals by guiding them toward independence while supporting their personal development.
G.L.O.M. TAY offers a wide range of services to help youth navigate through life’s challenges, including mentoring, social connection, educational assistance (such as literacy and GED completion), employment readiness, and life skills development. We also focus on vital areas like healthy relationships with law enforcement, social media education, financial literacy, preventive health, and supporting young mothers. Additionally, G.L.O.M. TAY helps connect youth to higher education opportunities like trade schools and community colleges, and provides resources for those dealing with homelessness or trauma.
The G.L.O.M. Way & Our Approach
Our approach follows the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model to offer developmentally appropriate services for youth. G.L.O.M. TAY’s goal is to reduce recidivism rates, promote recovery, and improve the quality of life for young adults through access to stable housing, education, employment, and healthy coping mechanisms.
As the program grows, G.L.O.M. TAY aims to continue expanding its outreach and partnerships, ensuring that transitional-age youth are not only served but are empowered to lead successful, independent lives.
